Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the InstaDial app does, and does not do, with information on your phone. In short: InstaDial works entirely on your device and does not collect your data.

1. Who we are

InstaDial (the “app”, store title “InstaDial – One-Tap Calls”, package name com.coolsolve.instadial) is an Android app published by CoolSolve LLP, based in Bengaluru, India (“CoolSolve”, “we” or “us”). This policy covers the InstaDial app and this website, instadial.balakumar.dev.

2. Information InstaDial accesses

The only information InstaDial reads from your phone is your contacts, through Android’s Contacts permission (READ_CONTACTS). That means the names, phone numbers and photos stored in your contacts, together with the WhatsApp call entries that WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business add to a contact, which let InstaDial start a WhatsApp call.

InstaDial reads your contacts only on your device. It does not copy, upload or transmit them.

3. How the information is used

InstaDial uses your contacts only to:

• list the people you can call, so you can choose your favourites;
• show names and photos on the favourites screen, in search results, in widgets and in home-screen shortcuts;
• start the call you ask for.

We do not use your contacts for advertising, analytics, profiling or any other purpose.

4. Nothing leaves your device

InstaDial does not request the INTERNET permission, so it cannot send information over the internet or any other network by itself. It has no ads, no analytics, no crash-reporting SDK and no user accounts. We do not collect, transmit, sell or share personal data, and we do not run any server that the app talks to.

5. Data stored on your device, retention and deletion

To work, InstaDial keeps a small amount of data on your phone:

• your favourites and the order you put them in;
• the in-app list of recent calls that you started from InstaDial;
• your settings.

This data is stored only on your device, in the app’s private storage, and is excluded from cloud backup. We never receive a copy.

Retention and deletion. The data stays on your device until you remove it. You can remove a favourite at any time and clear the list of recent calls in the app’s Settings. Uninstalling InstaDial deletes everything it has stored.

Why InstaDial uses it

To list the people you can call, let you pick favourites and search, and show names and photos. Used only on your device.

Yes. InstaDial cannot list your contacts without it.

If you deny the Contacts permission, InstaDial explains why it is needed and offers a shortcut to your phone’s settings so you can change your mind. You can withdraw the permission at any time in your phone’s settings (usually Settings, Apps, InstaDial, Permissions). InstaDial does not have the INTERNET permission.

7. Third parties

InstaDial does not send data to any third party. These services are involved when you use the app:

• WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business. When you start a WhatsApp call, InstaDial hands the call to the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app on your phone. From then on the call is handled by WhatsApp, and WhatsApp’s own privacy policy and terms apply. InstaDial cannot see or record your calls.
• Your phone’s dialer. For a regular call, InstaDial hands the call to your phone’s dialer, which handles it together with your mobile carrier under their own policies.
• Google Play. InstaDial is distributed through Google Play. Google processes information about downloads and installs under Google’s Privacy Policy. That is Google’s activity, not something the app does.
• Links and other apps. Some actions open another app or a web page instead of staying inside InstaDial, for example a WhatsApp chat link when a direct call is not possible, the Google Play page for WhatsApp or for rating InstaDial, or this privacy policy in your web browser. These are handled by the app or browser that opens them, under its own privacy policy. InstaDial itself does not go online.

These hand-offs only happen when you tap the matching button, and they include only what is needed for that action, such as the contact or phone number to call.

8. Children

InstaDial is not directed at children under 13. Because it does not collect personal data from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Security

Your favourites, recent calls and settings live in private app storage on your device, protected by Android’s app sandbox. Because the app has no internet permission and we run no server, there is no online copy of your contacts or favourites that could be intercepted or breached. Keep your phone’s software up to date and use a screen lock to protect what is on it.

10. Your choices and rights

You stay in control of your information:

• remove favourites and clear recent calls inside the app;
• withdraw the Contacts permission in your phone’s settings;
• uninstall InstaDial to delete everything it stored.

Depending on where you live, for example India, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California, you may have legal rights over your personal data, such as the right to access, correct or delete it. CoolSolve does not collect or hold any personal data about you, so there is nothing on our side to access, correct or delete. 11. This website

instadial.balakumar.dev is a static website. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers. Like most web servers, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to identify or profile visitors.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date at the top. Please check back occasionally.
